For First Time Patients, you must complete a Patient Intake Form.
Please note: Patients will only receive an electronic card from the Medical Marijuana Control Program. Physical cards will not be mailed.
What non-medical guests will need to bring:
- Valid government-issued photographic ID.
Which payment methods are accepted at your Solon dispensary location?
The Botanist Solon dispensary accepts debit, cash, and Dutchie’s Pay-by-Bank at all of our Ohio dispensary locations. For your convenience, there’s also an ATM on-site.
Please note: Certain payment methods may incur processing fees, as determined by your provider.

No, only Ohio medical marijuana cards are currently accepted at The Botanist Solon dispensary and all Ohio dispensaries.
Can I bring someone with me in the store?
The Botanist dispensary in Solon, Ohio, is open only to registered patients, caregivers, and people aged 21 or older.
What are the legal cannabis purchase limits in Solon, OH?
In Ohio, adults aged 21 and over can legally purchase up to 2.5 ounces of cannabis flower or 15 grams of cannabis extract per transaction under recreational marijuana laws. For medical patients registered with the Ohio Medical Marijuana Control Program (OMMCP), possession is allowed for a 90-day supply, with daily limits of 2.83 grams of flower or 110mg of THC in forms like pills or tinctures.
How much is the tax on cannabis in Solon, OH?
Recreational marijuana purchases in Solon are subject to:
- 10% excise tax
- 5.75% state sales tax
- Local sales tax – this results in a total tax rate of 15.75%–18%, depending on local rates.

Product Return Policy
All customers and patients are encouraged to contact the [email protected] email regarding return inquiries for fastest service. However, guests are welcome to return to the store where they originally completed their purchase to process the return in person if it meets any of the following criteria.
- Guests must be able to provide the original product label, dispensary receipt, and purchased item itself to be eligible for a return
- Purchase must have been within the last 30 days
- Mandatory or Voluntary recall
- A product that does not match the item stated on the purchase receipt is deemed “defective” per DCC
- Product was mislabeled by a cultivator or processor Allowable Accessory Returns
- Defective devices priced at $20 and under can be exchanged for a new device (the same device). EX: AVD Seed, Silo, Luster, Airo battery
- We cannot exchange defective devices over $20. Guests must contact the manufacturer for a return/refund.
